Daisy Pring reminds herself and audiences just who she is on powerful new alt-pop track ‘Reminder’

After a year-long hiatus taken to work on her next phase of new music, Illawarra artist Daisy Pring has burst back onto the scene with a shimmery new bop to begin 2025, in the form of a powerful alt-pop track titled ‘Reminder’. A song which leans into genres of pop, RnB, dance and more, ‘Reminder’ is a commanding expression of resistance, in which Daisy stands her ground against an ex-relationship which she has finally realised was not good for her;

“‘Reminder’ was inspired by Tate Mcrae and Flo[‘s] confident and ex diss tracks, and was born after discussing an entertaining series of events with my producer Chelsea. It touches on the emotions and freedom I felt after finally reuniting with an ex I had put on a pedestal for a long time, and the constant chasing and obsession that followed on his behalf.”  DAISY PRING

In the aftermath of this epiphany, Daisy expressed that the song came together in a frenzy of relief, humour and acceptance. Working with her producer to channel these feelings into the music, using the creative outlet to help settle into the realisation that she was finally above and beyond all of that, Daisy created something simultaneously cathartic, carefree and confident on ‘Reminder’;

“Chelsea and I felt so excited, after writing many songs in the EP about longing for him while in no-contact, to finally get to a place where I felt I didn’t want him back and the rose coloured lenses had finally started to soften. We got to laugh about the desperation I was finally receiving after we saw each other and the realisation that when I finally got what I didn’t have – I no longer wanted it.”  DAISY PRING

No stranger to live performance, after having performed at Qudos Bank Arena by the age of 15, Daisy is set to celebrate the release of ‘Reminder’ with a set at North Gong Hotel on February 23rd, joined by fellow artists Byjaye, Annabelle Scobie and Milou Moon.
